I can’t emphasis enough the necessity to monitor your blood pressure in this day and age. If I had done that I would have been able to take the steps needed to counter my elevated blood pressure and resultant heart attack. I am now living with a ticking time bomb which will cause my aorta to explode sometime in the next decade. Somewhat belatedly, I now have my own Blood Pressure Monitor and am on a variety of medications to keep the pressure low in order to postpone the inevitable. I urge every family with members over the age of 40 to equip themselves with their own Blood Pressure Monitor.
You don’t have to get paranoid and take it several times a day, just every other week will do, (unless told otherwise by your medical practitioner of course). If you notice it is starting to creep up, talk to your health professional.
They are not very expensive, very easy to use and just may save your life.
